Several months ago Venessa Miemis and I were in conversation, talking about the networks of people that we knew, and trying to find a way to describe the shared area of interest that bound us all together. The name that sprang forth from her lips and has now taken on a life of its own was the Next Edge.
We then started a group on Facebook, and began to invite people in that we knew, as an experiment to see what would unfold. The tribe grew and the conversation unfolded in all sorts of interesting ways, as emergent, living systems are inclined to do.
This online presence is the next step for the tribe. An experiment in emergent community blogging to share some of the ideas that we are interested in with the larger world, our thoughts about this thing we call the Next Edge.
